Suré Eloff - Voice, Piano
Suré Eloff began her vocal studies in Cape Town, South Africa with renowned master teacher Marita Napier. In the United States, she received a Graduate Diploma in vocal performance from the University of Texas at Arlington followed by a Fellowship Diploma in Singing from Trinity College London.
Specializing in concert and chamber music, Ms. Eloff has performed a variety of repertoire at chamber music festivals, including Scotia Festival of Music (Halifax, Nova Scotia), Tafelberg Klassiek (Cape Town, South Africa) and Mountain View International Festival of Song and Chamber Music (Calgary, Alberta). Ms. Eloff was introduced to working with living composers (John Harbison, Ricky Ian Gordon, and Jake Heggie) at Songfest in 2006 and has since focused on 20th and 21st century repertoire.
Over the last several years, she gave world première performances in both the United States and the United Kingdom of British composer Gregory Rose’s song cycles written for her: Avebury Stone Circles, Dancing in Sun-Spilt Clouds and Adonis and Aphrodite. Suré has taught throughout her career, and enjoys working with singers of all ages, including adult beginners and students with learning differences. She also enjoys teaching music theory, and helping students prepare for college auditions and placement exams.
Ms. Suré is at our Meyerland studio on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The American Music Academy takes pride in supplying our students with the best upright pianos to practice their modern or classical repertoire. Students will be able to use the full capabilities of a piano including dynamics, pedaling, musical phrasing, and dramatic interpretation. Students will be able to participate in seasonal recitals at one of Houston’s many venues. Recitals, included in their tuition, display each student’s personal achievements in their instrument. Our students have the option to perform piano, guitar, violin, viola, voice/singing, cello, and drums!
