AMASING!

Elementary choir program (Ages 5-10)

After four years of inspiring young singers throughout the Bellaire and Meyerland communities, AMASING! is coming home to American Music Academy's Bellaire studio!

Originally developed as an after-school choir program at local elementary schools—including Kolter and Horn Elementary—AMASING! has become a beloved program, with students performing at community events such as Bellaire's Holiday in the Park and other local performances. Now, we're excited to bring that same energy, excellence, and sense of community directly to our studio.

Designed for children ages 5–10, AMASING! gives young singers the opportunity to develop their voices while building confidence, teamwork, and musicianship in a fun, encouraging group setting. Whether your child is exploring singing for the first time or already taking private voice lessons, this class provides a supportive environment where every student can grow.

Throughout the semester, students learn healthy vocal technique, ear training, pitch matching, vocal projection, choir etiquette, singing in multiple languages, and performance skills while experiencing the joy of making music together. Music is a collaborative art, and singing as part of an ensemble helps students become stronger musicians, better listeners, and more confident performers.

Led by Mr. Esteban, whose choir programs have earned enthusiastic praise from students, families, and the community, AMASING! combines high-quality music education with a welcoming, encouraging atmosphere. Each semester concludes with a live performance, giving students the opportunity to showcase their hard work and celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends.

Join us as we welcome AMASING! home to Bellaire and give your child the opportunity to discover the joy of singing together!

Why Choose AMA?

At the American Music Academy, we believe that everyone should experience the joy of making music. Our goal is to provide an environment of education that is welcoming to all ages. Coming from generations of musicians, founders Wyatt and Laura Coleman have hand selected a team of professional and passionate musicians to bring quality music education to Houstonians. Our faculty has instrument-specific degrees from acclaimed universities all around the country. Our teachers tailor their music lessons to each student based on their individual goals. We offer the most comprehensive lessons in Houston, which include theory, ear training, sight reading technique, performance skills, and repertoire. Our brand new, state-of-the-art facilities located in Meyerland include a comfortable lounge with free Wi-Fi, water, magazines, and toys for children to play with as they wait for their lesson to begin. Spacious studio rooms are equipped with quality upright pianos, music stands, and mirrors to monitor progress. The American Music Academy takes pride in supplying our students with the best upright pianos to practice their modern or classical repertoire. Students will be able to use the full capabilities of a piano including dynamics, pedaling, musical phrasing, and dramatic interpretation. Students will be able to participate in seasonal recitals at one of Houston’s many venues. Recitals, included in their tuition, display each student’s personal achievements in their instrument. Our students have the option to perform piano, guitar, violin, viola, voice/singing, cello, and drums!
